There is an ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) course starting at Beech Hill Hub which will be delivered by Wigan College.
The course starts with a beginner level class (beginner 1 and 2) which will cover the very basics in English including the alphabet, numbers, dates and time, food, clothing, transport, completing forms etc. This level puts in the foundations for developing speaking and listening skills and starting points for grammar, reading and writing; after this there are 3 entry levels (E1 E2 E3) which are progressively more challenging and help to develop skills in all areas. Ideally, the course needs 12-16 people for it to be successful. Please, let the office know if you would be interested in coming along.
