  • Welcome back!

Tue 08 Sep 2020 Mrs McCarthy

I can’t begin to tell you how happy we all are to see our beautiful children back in school with their friends and all the adults involved in educating them.  It seems like a very long time since the school was filled with their voices and laughter and I am delighted that they have returned to school with beaming smiles and ready to learn.

A massive congratulations to all our families who have done such a good job with learning at home, it is very clear that your efforts have been rewarded.  Your children all look so smart and we thank you for following guidance and not sending large bags to school with your children —books bags are perfectly adequate.

We welcome our new Reception children who have breezed into school without  any difficulty and  have slotted straight into life at Beech Hill.  We can’t wait to meet our Nursery children next week.

There are other new faces in school; we welcome three teachers—Miss Skett , Y5 Osprey Class,  Mr Leaford, Y4 Woodpecker Class and Miss Dillon, Y2 Swallow Class.  We have said farewell to Miss Kenyon who has taken up a senior leadership post in Lancashire, we wish her the very best of luck.  Miss Parkinson and Miss Craig will be working with small groups across the school giving children a little boost with their learning. We will, as always, work to make sure your child is happy and safe at school and to ensure that they have really great educational opportunities.

We are so excited to ‘resume normal service’ in as far as we possibly can and would like to thank all our families for their support over the last (very challenging) six months.  Our Beech Hill community is amazing.
