  "Dear Headteacher

   

  I have been meaning to email for a while, and I hope its ok to do so now.

  Most days I drive up the hill past your school on the way to work, around the time your children are arriving at school. I wanted to let you know that I have never seen children so well turned out and so beautifully behaved. Even the occasions when I drive past in the afternoon, every child I see is so smart, and they all look so happy.

  I have wanted to feed back for some time - and remembered this evening!

  Your children are a credit to their parents and the school- and make me smile each morning on the way to work!

• Design your own Christmas jumper

  School council have decided they would like competitions across school to raise money. The first competition will be design your own Christmas jumper. Class teachers will have the template if you wish to enter.

  It is 50p entry fee. Can Miss Blackledge have all entries by 15/12/21 and we will decide winners at the end of next week.

  Year 3 parents, don't forget that children need to bring along a pair of pyjamas (as well as their swimming trunks/costume) tomorrow for their swimming lesson.

• Out of Hours Provision

  Dear Parents and Carers,

   

  You will be aware that our breakfast and after school clubs have been pared back since the start of the pandemic. We have only been able to offer a very limited service during this time but demand is now increasing beyond our capacity. We recognise the need of many of our families for quality before and after school provision and we have been in consultation with an external provider, ‘Energy Kidz’, who are offering to run a much more extensive service should there be enough interest. The company operates nationally and specialises in before and after school care and holiday clubs.

  The proposal is to run breakfast club from 7:30am until school begins and after care until 5:50pm. Prices will be £5.50 and £10 respectively which is in line with providers locally. You can of course use child tax credits to reduce the cost.

  We need to gauge interest to ascertain whether the club would be viable.
