Medicines
Administration of Medicine
If your child is well enough to be in school but they have been prescribed medicine, we can administer it but only if it is provided in the original box with a pharmacy label which clearly states your child's name, the date of dispensing and the recommended dose. You will need to complete a parental consent form (available at the school office).
If the medicine is ongoing (e.g. asthma inhalers, tablets etc) it is your responsibility to ensure that medicine is available and in date.
As medicine expires, it is the responsibility of the parents and carers to ensure it is disposed of appropriately or returned to a pharmacy.
