Statement of Intent

It is our intent that the PSHE and Relationships curriculum in our school engages, nurtures and encourages children to sustain curiosity and questioning of the world and relationships around them. This aims to meet pupils’ needs, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of adult life. The PSHE and Relationships curriculum is intended to build children into considerate, courteous and conscience individuals. There are three core themes, Health and Wellbeing, Relationships and Living in the Wider World.

 

Children to:

  • Know British values

  • Know The Rights of Every Child

  • Know how to question, problem solve and sort issues

  • Know how to keep safe

  • Recognise and celebrate diversity in all ways

  • Understand themselves and their believes, values and attitudes.
