Don't forget that if your child has school meals and is moving up to KS2, you will need to pay for their meals from September.

Please help us improve our school by returning the parent surveys which came home with children’s reports last week. You can pop your completed survey in the postbox in our main reception, or hand it in to your child's class teacher.

We are delighted to have been awarded the Historical Association Silver Quality Mark.
The Historical Association Quality Mark is an award that recognises the excellence of history provision in a school. The Quality Mark assess and values the history provision of the teacher, their department and the school and what is being offered to young people.
The Quality Mark provides a framework for success in which to develop an outstanding provision of history for a school. There is a regulated programme for a school working to achieve the Quality mark to follow, with a clear assessment procedure delivered by independent Historical Association appointed assessors
There are lots of things happening at Wigan Libraries in the holidays for children of all ages. From science to story time, poetry to painting, there is bound to be an event for your child.
Our Year 3 and 4 brass concert will be next Wednesday 6th in the school hall from 2:00pm. Please arrive on time. Space is limited to 1 adult per family.
Unfortunately, due to the downpour this afternoon and rain forecast for tomorrow and Friday, both sports days are cancelled. The events will now take place next week (KS2 Thursday 7th / KS1 & reception Friday 8th). Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Sports Day is back! The events will take place next week on the school field. Spectators are welcome (just 1 adult per family please).
The dates are:
Thursday 30th June 9:30am: Key Stage 2
Friday 1st July 9:30am: Key Stage 1 & Reception
Please make sure your child has their P.E. kit in school. If the weather is hot please make sure your child is wearing suncream and a hat.
Mrs Fitzpatrick has received national recognition for her work in developing Engineering and Design & Technology, not just in Beech Hill, but in schools in the North West. We are delighted that her hard work has been rewarded and that the children's work in this area is recognised as being something special.
We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the School Games Gold Award. At Beech Hill we aim to give all our children an opportunity to try new sports and to compete at all levels.
Thanks to Miss Whittaker, our PE Leader, for organising the many after school clubs and competitions.
We were the 'Class Act' in our local paper during the half term break.
