Star of the Week: Korey. Very impressive all week showing great commitment to his learning and demonstrating great knowledge across lots of subjects.
Going for Gold: Andzelina. Not only has her conduct been exemplary but her behaviour for learning has been outstanding all week.
Well done both of you.
Hello and welcome to the Year 6 class page.
This year is the final year for our children at Beech Hill Primary School and we hope to provide the children with all the skills they will need to transition to secondary school. The year will be action packed with lots of learning and new challenges.
Please see the links below which tells you what the children will be learning this half term.
(The Pocket Planner and also the UKS2 Yearly Overview.)
Reading is extremely important and your child is expected to read at home daily. Please write in their journal when they have read to you and ensure it is brought to school everyday.
Your child will receive homework on a Thursday that needs to be completed and brought back into school to be marked on Monday. The work they are given will be based on what we have completed in class that week. Please note that spellings will be handed out on a Monday and will be tested on the Friday. It is also important that the children access Reading Plus ( 3 half hour sessions weekly) and Times Table Rockstars regularly.
It is essential that your child has their P.E. kit in school. The P.E. sessions for Year 6 are on a Thursday morning and a Friday afternoon. Please look at the timetable link below.
